Pennsylvania Spice Chest – 2

Description

After exactly 12 months, this second of two Pennsylvania Spice Chests was completed.  Rich, dark tones of brown and red instantly draw your eye to this piece. It’s another variation of Steve Latta’s version of this mid 18th century simple style of furniture.  Like the first chest, it’s primarily walnut with a flame walnut veneers on the 11 dovetailed drawers with mahogany edge veneer, maple banding and burl walnut on the front panel. Birds eye maple is the veneer on the interior. There are also 2 secret drawers and a hidden compartment.
