Shaker Cherry End Table

This was my first project of firsts for me. My first project made from solid re-sawn cherry. My first attempt at a glued up table top and my first project with handmade mortise and tenon joinery; not to mention first attempts at a dovetailed drawer (using a jig) and tapered legs. A real education on its own. I’ve since dropped the jig in favor of hand cut dovetails. A little practice and you can knock them out far faster than setting up a dovetail jig.
